Davidson Community 1939 - 1947

This is a map of the Davidson Community with identification for
all the buildings shown. This  map is from my memory and
from maps online.. I lived in this area until I was about 3 years old,
 and visited many times after that.
This is the area that the Jackson, Hambrice, Upchurch, Rogers,
 Bradshaw, Beasley, Wreyford, Sanders and Pipkin families lived in the
early 1800's to the 1950's.

  1. Grady, black man that worked for Hatley Hambrice lived here.
  2. Hubert Hambrice house, Hatley Hambrice lived here after his
      house burnt.
  3. Guy Bradshaw, not sure.
  4. Pipkin ?
  5. Charlie Rogers ?
  6. Delbert Rogers
  7. Robert "Bob" Rogers, father of Delbert, Roy, Chester, Etta,
      and Bessie.
  8. Old house place of, Roy Rogers and wife Jewel Jackson
      Rogers and son Cyril Rogers.
  9. New house, Roy Rogers, built about 1947.
10. Thurston Beasley, also small store.
11. Barn
12. Watts/Hambrice plantation, location only. House burnt around
      1900
13. Davidson Church and Graveyard.
14. There was a house here at one time.

15. John Beasley, wife Lizza, Children: Lawson, Jewel, Vera,
      Wade and Thurston.
16. Barn owned by Mr Beasley.
17. Wreyford
18.  Old Red Barn was located here during this time.
19. Beasley house, Robert A Jackson and wife Mary Hambrice
      Jackson lived here with son Durwood.
20. There was a building here at one time. It was used as a school,
      Mary and Marjorie Hambrice went to school in this building.
      Latter it became a church and was a church in 1943. It is now
      gone.
21. Robert Jackson's father and mother lived here. Andrew B.
      Jackson and Ada Arnold Jackson. The house is now gone.
