Hwy 144 comes into Hwy 8 from the right and at one time continued in front 
of church and beside the graveyard. This was the road to the Watts Planta-
tion. This may have been the road that the store and post office was located
on. This road is no longer open on the left side of Hwy 8. See map under
MAPS listed as "Davidson Community 1938 - 1947".
